
Mike Murray is a Healthcare Administrator currently employed as the Sr. Director of Ambulatory Care for Penn State Health in the Centre County region since September 2019. In his current role, Mike over-sees the operational aspects and the book of business for 4 Family and Community Medicine practice sites, as well as 9 different specialty healthcare service lines. He graduated with his Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Strayer University (Washington D. C.) in 2010, as well as he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Columbia College (Columbia, MO: 2008), and an Associates of Science degree in general education from Vincennes University (Vincennes, IN: 2005). Mike achieved all three of these degrees during his 20 years on active duty with the United States Navy between December 1990 and December 2010. Before entering the military at the age of 18, Mike grew up in Berks County, PA with his parents and two brothers. During his career as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy, he spent 14 out of 20 years with United States Marine Corps units in roles associated to combat and trauma medicine and he deployed with 4 combat tours. Mike additionally held positions while in the Navy as a Paramedic, as a clinician (non-Physician), and as a Healthcare Administrator. Upon retirement from active duty in 2010, Mike, along with his wife Dayna, daughter Marissa, and sons Cameron, Carter and Cason settled down in Kansas City, MO where Mike worked in Healthcare Administration roles for almost 9 years. Now, Mike happily lives with his wife and three boys in Bellefonte, PA, and he is excited to partner with local boards and establishments in the support of bettering our communities.
